Nestled between the pristine Flint River and historic Pine Mountain in Georgia, the Gerald I. Lawhorn Scouting Base presents the summer adventure at Camp Thunder.
Camp Thunder is a traditional Boy Scout summer camp. Featuring merit badge sessions, troop activities, and high-adventure opportunities, Camp Thunder includes unique evening activities and adventures.
Program offerings in the past have included:
• Aquatics (motorboating, sailing, swimming)
• Humanities (Citizenship MBs, Law, Music)
• Fine Arts (Art, Textile, Woodcarving)
• Scoutcraft (Camping, Orienteering, Cooking)

• Buckskin First Year Camper's Program
• COPE (challenging outdoor personal experience)
• Rock Climbing
• Mountain Man Pioneer Experience
